Why visit Dom Luís I Bridge
Completed in 1886, Porto's two-level iron bridge links the historic centre to Vila Nova de Gaia. Metro trains and pedestrians use the upper deck; the lower deck connects the two riverfronts. It is a working bridge, not a dedicated observation platform.
